What is CBD?
CBD is an acronym for cannabidiol, a natural compound derived from the cannabis plant, which is just one of over one hundred different cannabinoids found in the hemp plant (not to be confused with THC, which is found in high concentrations in the marijuana plant). CBD is known to support your body’s powerful endocannabinoid system (ECS).
Got it, but what’s an endocannabinoid system (ECS) and how does CBD work?
Let’s start by first understanding homeostasis, which is your body’s effort to keep all of your internal systems running at optimal levels, no matter what's happening around you. When one of those systems, such as mood or stress levels, isn’t working at peak performance, your body turns to the ECS to bring it back to the optimal level. CBD reacts with the ECS by stimulating endocannabinoid receptors, promoting homeostasis, and assisting in the restoration of your body’s natural balance.
Good stuff, but will CBD get me high?
No, not at all. CBD is non-psychoactive (unlike THC), so our drinks will make you feel great, just not high or impared in any way.
Is your CBD top-notch?
Yes, our CBD is tested for potency and authenticity by 3rd party laboratories.
Are you using CBD isolate or CBD extract in your beverages?
Our CBD is sourced from hemp extract (not CBD isolate).
How much should I take?
Good Day was created with the intention of daily enjoyment, and while 1 serving may be enough for most, others may feel that 2 or even 3 per day will provide maximum benefits.
What’s in your cold brew coffee?
Just water, organic coffee, and hemp extract (the CBD molecules are attached to minuscule amounts of organic, highly-refined coconut oil). That means no calories, sugar, dairy, artificial ingredients, or preservatives.
Where do you source your coffee from?
After extensive coffee tastings, we created our own custom 1:1:1 blend of certified Fair Trade Organic coffee from farms in Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Colombia.
Does your cold brew have caffeine in it?
Yes. But only the naturally-occurring kind, from our organic coffee beans.
Is your cold brew actually cold brewed?
Yes. We wouldn’t call it cold brew if it wasn’t.
What does “filtered water” mean?
We take filtered water and filter it again using reverse osmosis (RO) plus an ultraviolet (UV) purification process to end up with some seriously clean H2O. The only thing we add is a touch of sodium, one of the body’s essential electrolytes.
Why are your drinks a little cloudy?
In short, because it’s better for you that way. In order to make our CBD water soluble, we need to use an emulsifier, so we opted to use a natural plant-based emulsifier which has an opaque appearance (versus the alternative, which is a polyglycerol ester-based emulsifier which is transparent, but not so good for you).
Is your cold brew vegan? Gluten-free? Keto & Intermittent Fasting friendly?
Yes. Yes. And, yes.
Why did you use aluminum cans versus plastic or glass?
Aluminum is the most sustainable beverage container. Period. The average can contains 70 percent recycled metal because aluminum can be recycled over and over in a true "closed loop" process versus plastic, which only 9 percent are ever recycled and they’re typically "down-cycled" into products like carpet fiber. And while glass feels great in the hand, it’s hefty weight means a hefty carbon footprint.
Do I need to refrigerate my Good Day beverages?
No refrigeration is required. All Good Day beverages are shelf stable, however, we recommend storing and enjoying cold to maximize flavor and product life.
